Hi,

I know next to nothing about these handheld game things. My son is 7, plays many games over the Internet through Miniclip.com around 1 to 2 hours a week.

I don't what to get him between the two (GBA or DSLite). I wonder if he'll be able to work the pencil-thing and if the DSLite is too fragile for him. He's not the type of kid to take much care of his stuff.

Basically, I wonder if the GBA is enough for him.

I think he'll be fine with the DSLite - it is a much more advanced console and designed for young kids in mind 5+. Nintendo will have done all sorts of testing including throwing it around and probably dipping it in orange juice :-)

Plus, you'll get far more games for the DSLite and it is much more future proof.
