@duncan I have to say that were I starting over, it would be a tossup between the Nikon D3 and the Canon 1D Mk III, focus issues aside.

@duncan I tend to prefer the ergonomics of the Canon as the Nikon D2-D3 that I've played with just don't seem natural to my hands...

@duncan Yep, def way more Nikon, guess the D3 & continued Mk.3 focus issues has resulted in a lot of sports shooters switching systems.

Nikon D3 and D700 are almost the same, except for speed, weight, and memory storage. D700 has a flash. http://is.gd/1yM1

I think next camera will be a Nikon D700. Not much in the D3 that I'd miss, but I really want full-frame light sensitivity (so no D300).
