I just received my new Xs and see many improvements over the older Rebel. I was totally happy with the original and really wasn't in need of changes. In fact one week ago I replaced the body when Precision Camera repair company tried to cheat me on a shutter repair. The pixel count, IS lens and live preview were what sold me on the new model. Get one but be prepared to buy new spare batteries, charger and SD cards because the new camera's are not compatible with your older Rebel spare parts. If you wear glasses you won't need to carry reading glasses to see the settings on the large LCD.
