It features a long list of very impressive specifications in this category of mitre saw. Not least is its 320mm width by 89mm depth cutting capacity. Even this can be increased by using self-made spacers to 100mm deep (by 250mm wide) or 350mm wide (by 60mm deep). A dual-line laser indicates the cutting line left and right of the saw blade allowing you to position your workpiece exactly without having to retract the blade guard. The variable speed control means the GCM 350-254 has the potential to deal with a variety of materials such as aluminium, PVC and wood. The 1,800W motor has a soft start, which stops any sudden jolt on pressing the switch. Indents for common angles on both mitre and bevel functions make setting up for angled cuts fast and simple, and ensure repeatable accuracy time after time. For longer workpieces, the mitre saw has pullout extensions on either side to give extra support. Blade changing is easy and quick with an SDS tool-less blade change system, useful when cutting different materials. At just over 24kg, the GCM 350-254 is no lightweight, however a carefully positioned carrying handle makes transportation balanced and relatively comfortable. It comes with a material clamp, SDS blade nut and an Expert for Wood 254mm TCT blade. GTA2600 Mitre Saw Floor Stand This sturdy GTA2600 folding stand features left and right adjustable work supports. These are height adjustable and easily extended to the required length for total work support. The legs have rubber end caps and one has 30mm of adjustment for uneven floors; the legs lock in position in use and fold easily for transport. The stand come with 2 tool clamps, which once fitted to the mitre saw simply clamp onto the stand with a safety lock.
