Installation The vent is positioned directly in-line with the slates below, and an inverted T opening is cut within the underlay to accommodate the downpipe. To ensure the integrity of the underlay a Klober Underlay Seal is strongly recommended. Once the downpipe has been located through the underlay opening, the slate vent is located on and fixed to the slate batten. The slates either side of the vent are laid and trimmed if necessary.
